A caster (commonly known as castor in the U.K.) is a wheel typically mounted to a larger object enabling easy rolling movement of the object.

What does weight capacity mean?
Weight capacity is a primary factor to consider when choosing the right castor for your application. When calculating the total weight, remember to bear in mind that in addition to the load weight, the weight of the rack or whatever is being used to move the load.

What is the difference between hard and soft casters?
A hard castor is usually a nylon wheel which used to run over smooth surfaces such as concrete. A soft castor is a rubber wheel used to run over surfaces which needs protection such as a wooden floor. Additionally a soft castor reduces noise.

What is a leveling caster?
A Leveling castor is a adjustable-height castor, ideal for heavier weight loads.

Why are caster wheels offset?
Castor wheels are offselt so they revert to the trailing position when being pushed or pulled.
