Thirsty work for Ross Handling’s wooden castors

Tweed jackets, swing music and art deco are all making a spectacular 1920s comeback, and so it seems is the home cocktail bar. And our castors and wheels are proving the perfect fashion accessory for Quench UK and their latest release “The Gin Trolley”.

Tweed jackets, swing music and art deco are all making a spectacular 1920s comeback, and so it seems is the home cocktail bar. And our castors and wheels are proving the perfect fashion accessory for Quench UK and their latest release “The Gin Trolley”.

Quench UK is a British designer of bespoke luxury home bar systems. Their latest offering, “The Gin Trolley” is a practical, stylish and mobile alternative to a built-in system. Designer Jonathan Green explains, “Our gin trolley is the answer to those who want something a little more discreet but with as much flair as our larger home systems.”

For Quench UK, character, aesthetic and quality were all equally important when researching castors for their gin trolley. After looking through dozens of samples and not finding one that matched, they came across Ross Handling’s 75mm wooden castors. Jonathan Green: “We sell a premium product and the last thing we wanted to do was to put poor quality wheels on it. We’re glad to have found Ross Handling; their wooden castors complement the colouring of the trolley’s exposed edges perfectly and add a contemporary feel to the design”.

“The Gin Trolley” is set to be officially unveiled in September at Luxury Made, which runs alongside 100% Design, 2017, the UK’s largest design trade event for industry professionals, however it is already creating a stir after being featured in GQ’s ’10 coolest things in the world this week’ last month, and Luxury Lifestyle Magazine.

Jonathan Green concludes, “The team at Ross were a pleasure to work with. Initially they didn’t stock the product I had in mind, but they were able to get a bespoke batch produced to meet our requirements and we’re delighted with the finished product”.

Quench have put together an exclusive offer for Ross handling customers which includes a £1000 discount, plus a 22pc professional cocktail set and craft gin collection worth over £600. To register for this special offer, simply request The Gin Trolley brochure from the Quench website and type 'ROSS HANDLING' in the additional comments box.
