You may have seen our last blog on the weird and wonderful uses for Ross Handling products our team have experienced over the last 40 years and we’ve got another fantastic five uses of our products lines up for you…

1. One brave customer had a very important trip lined up and needed rugged wheels (heavy duty and hard
wearing castors) for use on his Arctic exploration sledge. These castors had to be able to withstand both arctic
weather conditions and unreliable surfaces!

2. British designer LuLu Guinness needed some sturdy castors for one of her creative art installations. ‘Be a
Pin Up’ was an interactive, human-sized pinscreen toy, displayed as part of the 2011 Clerkenwell Design
Week in London. LuLu used over 2000 starlock fasteners for installation, which are normally used to fix wheels
on an axel.

3. The recreation of Henry VIII’s wine fountain at his former residence was revealed in 2010, but not before
our trusty conveyor feet came in to help move the 4metre tall fountain into place at the great King’s former
residence, the Hampton Court Palace.

4. The Olympics Opening Ceremony has been hailed as one of the best British events ever staged, and 100
of our jacking castors were used to ensure that everything ran smoothly and on time.

5. We have recently sent some of our high quality, heavy duty castors to The Prop Shop at Pinewood Studios, Buckinghamshire, where they have been working on projects such as: ‘Me Before You’, ‘Star Wars’, ‘Beauty
and the Beast’ and ‘Assassins Creed’.
