Decora, a leading blinds manufacturer, has become the latest company to choose the revolutionary Connect A Tube solution to enhance the performance of their operation, helping them achieve a 17% increase in productivity.
Ross Handling became the UK’s exclusive supplier of Connect A Tube in 2015 – a tube and joint system which bolt together, allowing you to quickly design and build bespoke pieces of handling and storage equipment. The versatile system means that as your application requirements change you can disassemble your products and reassemble new ones.
Decora Blinds needed new conveyors and tables for a specific project which were required at bespoke sizes for a short-term period only. They became aware of the Connect A Tube system and realised it was perfect for their needs. Brian Simpson, Senior Process Engineer for Decora explained, “It was a short term requirement so if we had gotten something fabricated we would have been stuck with that size. With Connect A Tube we have been able to build, disassemble and rebuild using the components to make longer or shorter conveyors as our operational demands change”.
Simpson continued, “Our only initial concern was that it would not be robust enough but since we have been using the product we have every confidence that it is a durable solution and up to the job”.
So confident in fact that having initially trialled the solution on one of their three production lines, Decora has now rolled out Connect A Tube throughout their entire operation. Brian Simpson concluded, “It’s strong, very easy to assemble and offers great flexibility allowing us to quickly modify our operation”.
